BUILDING AND ZONING PERMITS
Permits are required for all construction; this includes but is not limited to, new construction, additions, garages, storage sheds, pools and buildings. Permits are required before placing a sign in the Township. No obstacles may be placed in any Township road right of way. This includes but is not limited to shrubs, signs, fences, boulders, etc.

MOVING PERMITS
Moving permits are required before moving in, out, or within the Township, issued at the Township Office.
SEWAGE PERMITS
The sewage enforcement officer issues all sewage permits. A sewage permit must be issued before any other permits for any new construction.
SUBDIVISION AND LAND DEVELOPMENT
Any subdivision, reverse and amended subdivisions, or land development must be reviewed and approved by Carbon County Planning, Mahoning Township Planning and the Board of Supervisors.
OTHER PERMITS
Before you start a project, permits are required by the township. These include but are not limited to the following: new residences, commercial construction, agricultural building, driveways and occupancy. Check with the zoning officer for current fee amounts and requirements. When in doubt, please ask before starting a project. |
